For the second year in a row, we went to Signal to watch the fireworks for 4th of July. Jenn, Stefan, Rob, Amber, Megan, Rusty, Gerry & I all met at the country club, and after the fireworks, we went to Rusty's sister's house for more fireworks. The slick character pictured above was one of the interesting people we encountered... yep, that's a head lamp. It just wasn't that dark outside...
No, Gerry didn't steal the guy's head lamp, that's just a reflection.

I love spending time with this man!
So, after the 4th, Jenn stayed to visit for a few more days. She (yes, I'm blaming it on her) had the great idea that we should bombard Gerry with water balloons when he got home from work. We went to Target and got some balloons (they weren't water balloons, per se, but they worked).

The long balloons were the best because they were awkward... and they kept busting on us.

20 minutes later...Gerry finally pulled up.
Um.. unfortunately, Gerry spotted Jenn and knew something was up. Then he refused to get out of his car until we got rid of all the balloons. He was a little ticked.
Later in the week, we went to Tony's Pasta for dinner and Rembrandt's for coffee and dessert.
We went for a walk after dinner, and Jenn and I talked the guys into carrying our purses for a photo opp.

Then the guys got comfortable with the purses and forgot about them. Yikes.
What a great time with our friends! July was fun!
