Baby Shower In New Orleans

Last weekend Gerry and I got to travel to New Orleans for our first baby shower for Catie Grace. My Aunt Anna did a wonderful job planning the shower. It was absolutely perfect!
Here are some pictures from the shower.

This is a picture of the full room where the shower was held. The shower was at the Parisian Courtyard Inn on Prytania street in the Garden District of New Orleans. The Inn was built in 1846 by Rufus McIlhenney of the Tabasco family. Yes, Tabasco as in the hot sauce! It was restored in 2005 and was a wonderful place for the shower because of the old world New Orleans charm. Gerry and I were fortunate enough to spend the night at the Inn on Saturday and Sunday night. It was absolutely wonderful!

The cake for the shower was a cream cheese king cake (Yum!). Little Miss Blythe got the baby in the king cake. She was kind of excited.

Blythe and her Gigi. This is pretty typical because they are big buddies! When Blythe walked in the door for the shower, she saw me and said,"Nina!" and then looked around the corner and said "Gigi?" She loves her Gigi!

Gerry and me with all the food! It was all delicious.

One of the diaper bags that Aunt Anna gave us for Catie Grace. It has her monogram on it. So cute!

This is a classic Gerry face. I just wonder if that was directed towards me...

I don't know why we were laughing, but those diapers were newborn and so tiny and cute!

A cute little gown for Catie Grace from her Aunt Lauren.

This gift was to Catie Grace from her daddy! It is a little Saints jersey with her name on the back. Gerry totally surprised me with this. I absolutely love it and it will fit her for next football season (since she is not going to be here for most of this football season).
