Catie Grace's Nursery!

We finished the nursery about a week ago and I am FINALLY posting pictures! Here are pictures of Catie Grace's nursery. Enjoy!

This is the view of her nursery as you walk in the door. The little brown polka dot bassinet is where she will sleep at first. Of course, it will be right next to our bed instead of in her room.

Here is a better picture of the bassinet and this side of her room.

This is the absolutely AMAZING canvas that our friend Olivia painted for us. It is perfect perfect perfect and we really love it! We are so blessed to have such wonderful and talented friends.

This is her sleigh crib and the tree we painted on the wall. We decided not to use a crib bumper because of some articles I read and research I had done on the subject. You can't really see it, but her crib sheet is a green and white circus toile print from Pottery Barn. Her comforter is a matching green scallop pique comforter from Pottery Barn as well. We just fell in love with these colors and we love the simplicity of the green and white.

Here is a close-up of the monogramming on the comforter. We had heard kind of bad reviews about the monogramming from Pottery Barn, so my sister's mother-in-law monogrammed this for us. She owns this precious little store in Mobile, Alabama and she always does such a wonderful job monogramming our stuff!

Here is another close up of that tree that we are so proud of painting ourselves!

This is Catie Grace's rocking recliner chair. It is so comfy and I know Catie Grace and I will spend a lot of time here. Gerry and I both just love the curtains we got for her room. Since the room is so small, we didn't want to have anything too heavy, so we thought these sheer polka dot curtains were the perfect addition to her room.

This is a better picture of the decorative shelves above her chair. I made the two little picture frames. One is decorated with a tree and one is decorated with an owl. There aren't pictures in them right now, but we got some maternity pictures taken this weekend and I am hoping to put a few of those pictures in the two frames. Eventually we will be able to put pictures of Catie Grace in the frames. The little beanie baby is a kangaroo with a baby kangaroo in her pouch. Gerry gave me the little kangaroos on our second anniversary (cotton) to celebrate that we were expecting our first little one. I painted the little birdhouse to match her room and go with the subtle - tree/bird/leaf theme.

A closer pictures of the shelves and frames.

Here is her changer. The little canvas boxes have her cloth diapers in them (we are up to 10 diapers now and adding more as sales come up).

Here is a close up of the chandelier we got for her room. There are little metal leaves in the design, so it was perfect for her room!

This is her armoire! I can already picture her playing dress up in front of the full length mirror.

This is the inside of the armoire. Look at her little clothes! We also have some of her books on top of the armoire. I love love love the silver bookends that my Aunt Gretchen and Uncle Ed got for her. They are too precious!

These are just some of the other clothes that we have for her. She has a lot of dresses from her aunts, and there are even some dresses in there from when my mom was a baby.

Here are Catie Grace's bags all packed for the hospital! I am in love with this print and it was even the inspiration for her room. My friend Courtney and her mom got us these bags and even got her initials monogrammed on them. The patchwork blanket was handmade and given to us by Jenn and Stefan. We are bringing it for the cold car ride home.
As you can see, we are ready for our little one to get here! Come on Catie Grace- don't you want to come see your new room?

Everything looks adorable!! Congrats to you both!!

You'll have to keep us updated on cloth diapering - I've heard a lot about it, but don't know anyone personally who's doing it. (NOT that I have a baby or even have a bun in the oven - I'm just a curious person!) :)
