Baby's Room (Part 1) and Little Landon

Here is a picture of Catie Grace's room! This is the only thing I really took a picture of because although the furniture is in the room, it isn't finished. Gerry and I spent all last week painting this tree on her wall. The green and turquoise colors are going to be the primary colors we are using to decorate her room. I wanted to do something other than pink, and we both really liked these colors.

We are slowly getting together the rest of the decor of the room, and I am hoping we will be done with it soon.


Last week I mentioned that our baby Landon has been sick. A few months ago, he got very sick and was diagnosed with Addison's disease. Addison's (which also happens in humans) is when the adrenal glands do not produce enough of certain hormones. In Landon's case, this diagnosis mostly means that he has to have a monthly shot and a daily pill. He can have a pretty normal life if his hormone levels stay consistent.

Last weekend his hormone levels dropped and he had an Addison's crisis. He was throwing up blood and was very sick and weak. On Friday morning we brought him to the vet where they gave him a steroid shot and the medicine he needed. He stayed at the vet on Friday night, but he got to come home Saturday afternoon. When we picked him up from the vet he was still very sick and weak, but we stayed with him all day Saturday and Sunday and he seems to be pretty much back to normal today.

We are hoping his hormones are leveled off and his medicine is the proper dosage so Gerry and I can keep our little boy healthy.

Here is Landon when he was just a little puppy. It's hard to believe that we have had him for almost 3 years.
