Vacation or cooler weather.. I'll take either!

The Cornett household had a great week! Landon is feeling much better and we are dog sitting my nephew's puppy Bruiser. Bruiser is a dachshund mix and the cousins are loving spending time with each other. It is so sweet to have a little dog that I can pick up and hug! He cuddled with Gerry his first night with us, but last night he cuddled with me. Little Bruiser is too cute!

We really didn't get much accomplished this week because Gerry and I have both been pretty tired. I think Gerry is having just about as many pregnancy symptoms as I am :) He has cravings and is tired just like me! We are both glad that the weather has cooled down a bit.

Last weekend my Uncle Ron and Aunt Judy came to visit from Mobile, Alabama. Since we were stuck at home with Landon, they were nice enough to come to our house for dinner on Saturday night. My mom and Uncle Ron cooked dinner for us which was really helpful since we were still taking care of Landon. It was so good to see Ron and Judy because they are such a fun and a wonderful couple. We are so blessed to have them in our lives!

Miss Catie Grace is doing well and moving more and more every day. Her little kicks and flutters are becoming jabs, but nothing too painful yet. This week, her eyes will open and she weighs 2 full pounds! She is set to gain about 1/2 a pound a week from now until 37 weeks. Things are going to get VERY crowded in the next 10 weeks!

This is also the last week of my second trimester! It is crazy that we are 2/3 of the way to meeting our baby girl. Next week I will be going to the doctor for my gestational diabetes glucose test. Fingers crossed that we pass this milestone without any problems!

Good Luck with the glucose test- here's a little tip that made drinking that stuff bearable. Keep it refrigerated until the day of, then get it really cold by putting it in the freezer about 45 minutes ahead of time, and drink it with a straw. When its really cold you don't taste it as much!
