32 Weeks....8 months!

We are at 32 weeks! This week little Catie Grace is weighing in at 4 pounds (which makes more sense than last week's estimate of 5 pounds- I think that was a typo on the website).

This week is an important milestone because, according to Parents.com, almost all babies born at this stage or later survive and go on to have very healthy, normal lives. By this week, all of the major organs are fully functioning except the lungs. So, she needs a few more weeks to cook, but we are definitely on the home stretch!

I had a few back pain issues earlier this week, but I am being much more careful about leaning over and generally any movement of any kind. I am also getting bigger by the day (as is baby girl)! Today someone told me that I looked like I could give birth any day. That makes me feel really great considering that I have two more months until my due date... The things people will say to pregnant women! A friend of mine is due this Saturday (fingers crossed that her little one gets here soon) and she had someone THAT WE WORK WITH ask her if she was having twins because she is so big. Those kind of comments along with random people rubbing your belly sure can make us pregnant folks feel awesome!
Today I went to the doctor and everything is looking good. Catie Grace is head down and hopefully getting prepared to meet the world! My blood pressure is still a bit high, but nothing to be concerned about yet. My sister and Blythe are in town for the baby shower on Sunday. Gerry and I are very excited to see so many friends and family this weekend!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend too!
