We have made it to 31 weeks! According to Parents.com, Catie Grace is nearly 5 pounds this week. I'm not sure how she jumped from 3 pounds to 5 pounds in a week, but ok... I also read that at 31 weeks, the only thing that isn't completely developed are her little lungs. Catie Grace is the size of a large squash- she has come a long way from the little poppy seed she was at weeks 3 & 4!I am still enjoying laying on the couch after work and feeling Catie Grace kicking around. Now when she decides to kick, you can actually see my stomach move! On Tuesday night we went to my parents house to celebrate my dad's birthday. While we were there Catie Grace was kicking so I let my 8 year old nephew feel my stomach to feel her kick. He did feel her kick and it totally freaked him out. He was weirded out and didn't want to have anything else to do with it!
I was very lucky through my first and second trimester because we had a comfortable and healthy pregnancy. As we have gone into the third trimester, I am starting to lose a lot of energy which kind of sucks. By the end of the workday, all I can do is come home and lay on the couch. This last week, I have started having some pretty intense sciatic nerve pain which has made everything very uncomfortable. Mostly it is very painful to walk, but it seems to be getting a little better. I have read that the pain will come and go depending on what position Catie Grace is in. Oh the joys of pregnancy! I know it will all be worth it in just a few short weeks.
Last weekend Gerry and I got to travel to Nashville for the LSU/Vandy game. We stayed with our friends Kelly and Greg and we had such a wonderful time with them at the game! Before the game, we had dinner at J. Alexander's next to the stadium. I used to go there all the time with my family, but I haven't been in a long time. I have to say, their macaroni and cheese was the best ever! If you haven't had it, you should go get some! I also had chicken fingers, so it was a pretty healthy meal :). Our seats at the game were great and the weather was absolutely perfect. Our LSU tigers did win the game, but judging from how they were playing, it will be a looong season for us LSU fans!
As we begin our 31st week, Gerry and I are both getting anxious about our little girl's arrival. We just can't wait to meet her! November can't get here quickly enough!
