33 Weeks
Yesterday Gerry's friends at Unum threw us a wonderful baby shower! Unfortunately I didn't think to get any pictures at the shower. Everyone at Unum was so generous to Catie Grace! We are so appreciative of all of the wonderful gifts we got. I have met several of the people that Gerry works with and they are all really great. It was nice to meet most of his other co-workers yesterday at the shower. Now I can put faces with all of the crazy stories he tells me! Also, the food was wonderful -I am still wishing I had some more of the punch and cake!

Also, the food was wonderful -I am still wishing I had some more of the punch and cake!Today we are at 33 weeks. Catie Grace is about 19 to 19.5 inches long, weighs about 4.5 to 5 pounds, and is about the size of a medicine ball. No wonder she is running out of room in there! She isn't kicking around quite as much as she was a few weeks ago, but she sure is on the move. Throughout the day my entire belly will shift depending on how she decides to lay. It isn't uncomfortable; it's just funny to watch my belly re-form throughout the day.
Thankfully, I haven't had any back problems in the last week or so. I am so so so grateful to not have the excruciating sciatic pain anymore! Since I work at UTC (and parking sucks), I have been walking about 1/2 a mile from my parking lot to my office for about 2 years. This daily trek has been getting harder and harder the farther along I've gotten in my pregnancy. Gerry called last week and got UTC to get me a temporary pass to park closer to my office so I don't have to walk as far. I'm not saying that the closer commute has made my back problems go away, but I do have to say that I feel much better now that I am not making that walk twice a day for five days a week!
Now that all of our showers are over, Gerry and I are organizing the nursery and getting everything ready for Catie Grace's arrival. This weekend Gerry and I are going to try to rest since the last two weeks have been really busy/crazy! Our friend Betsy is getting married on Saturday, so we are looking forward to the nuptials. Other than that, we will probably be napping or hanging out in the nursery trying to figure out what to do with all of Catie Grace's stuff! We are 49 days away from our due date, so we are getting close to meeting our baby girl! We are so very excited!

I am so glad that Gerry called and got you a closer parking place! I mean shouldn't that be a given for an expectant mother? Love you and love hearing about the progression of the pregnancy! :)
