37 Weeks- Full Term!

Today we are at 37 weeks which is officially full term! That means that if Catie Grace came today her lungs would be fully equipped to deal with life outside of the womb. It also means that she could come at any time!

I went to the doctor today and my blood pressure and Catie Grace's heartbeat were both great. The doctor checked me and I am 1.5 cm dilated and 50% effaced. Not bad for a first time mom at 37 weeks! I am just so glad that we have made some progress. Hopefully we will see this little girl soon.

The great thing about being 1.5 cm dilated is that 1.5 cm is halfway to 3 cm which is when they will let you have the epidural! I think that's better than having to wait hours and hours to get to 3 cm at the hospital. Believe me, I have no intentions of going past the time when they will let me have an epidural. No thank you!

Gerry and I have been resting and watching Halloween movies this past week. We have our bags packed and the nursery ready, so we are just resting and enjoying time together while we wait. It will be just a few short weeks (or days) and we will be a family of 3!

I am very much looking forward to meeting our baby girl and becoming a mommy. It will also be wonderful to watch Gerry be a daddy. He is just going to be the best and I can't wait to see him in action! Gerry is absolutely the best husband and friend I could have ever dreamed of and he will be such a great dad. Catie Grace is going to have him wrapped around her little finger within minutes!

We will be trick or treating on Signal this weekend with some cuties and just taking it easy. Gerry and I know that we won't have many more restful weekends for a long time!
