Well... I got my notebook with the baseball card holders, and my scissors, and my printer, and my store ads from the Sunday paper.. shew. As of right now, I have only been in the couponing game for three weeks. I can't say that I am one of those people who are running home with pictures of my loot saying "I bought $150 worth of stuff for $.50" BUT I am finding the couponing useful.
More useful and helpful in saving than just the coupons has been learning about store sale cycles and learning to buy things when they are on sale, not just arbitrarily whenever we wanted them or were completely out of them.
I finally got my printer set up to print the online coupons and I have watched a few tutorials (of course they were on YouTube) about ways to save money couponing. We have mostly been going to BiLo for sale items and then Wal Mart for things that are cheaper there (even with coupon doubling and sales). This week I will be adding CVS to the circuit because I have heard great things about saving there.
We have been saving money and Gerry (who was the sole grocery shopper before this endeavor) is ensuring me that we are saving money from the couponing. I am feeling pretty good about it and I feel like I am contributing to our financial well-being as a family even though I am a stay at home mom right now.
I'll be sure to post my first "I got $70 worth of stuff and spent $.43"- if that ever comes.

I really got out into couponing a while back and have fallen out of it. You have to watch that you don't buy stuff you don't use just because it's on sale. It can get addictive. I would suggest looking at Publix weekly sales too. their buy 1 get 1 sales are always better than BiLo. And if you haven't discovered it yet, www.southernsavers.com is a huge resource! Good luck!
