Finally- Graduation!

On May 7, 2011 I graduated with my Master's degree in Elementary Education from UTC.  I started pursuing my degree in Fall of 2008 so after several years and a baby- well, I'm so glad it's all over!

to all of those who have supported me over the past few years.  I could not have done this without the support of a lot of people, but I especially want to thank my amazing husband, Gerry, and my wonderful mom and dad!  Thank you so much for being so great these past few years.  It has been difficult at times, but it was totally worth it!

I had originally decided not to walk in graduation, but a few days before the ceremony I decided that I did want to walk in graduation after all!  Here are some pictures from the graduation ceremony-

And even better than finally graduating?  I accepted a job this morning from Brown Middle School :)  What a wonderful relief!  I will be teaching Language Arts and one Science class at a great school here in Chattanooga.  I'm beyond excited and I can't wait to start setting up my classroom.  I've already started getting books for my class library :)
