Several of my friends have recently posted some "Loving Lately" or lists of things they couldn't live without. In that same spirit, I have decided to do a Loving Lately post. There are a ton of things I love for my little Catie Grace, but this post will focus on things that are for mommy only. (Maybe I will also do a top ten list of things that we are loving at six months old).
Loving Lately
A Stay At Home Mom's List (abbreviated version)
First- I am IN LOVE with Catie Grace's excersaucer. Yes, I know this is a baby's toy and I said I would be posting about things for mommy- but this is for mommy! Catie Grace loves this toy and will play in it for a pretty long time. Because of this I can do laundry and take a shower. Though she is pretty good about sitting in her high chair and watching me cook or sew, this excersaucer is educational and fun. We just love it!
Second- YouTube. I mean really, YouTube is ridiculous. Of course I love to use YouTube for watching current viral videos (It's Friday, Friday...) but YouTube also has a lot more going for it! There are innumerable tutorial videos on YouTube for all kinds of crafts. About two years ago I taught myself how to crochet just from watching YouTube and picking up a "I Taught Myself to Crochet" packet from Wal Mart. Two weeks ago I saw a precious crocheted hair clip on Facebook and I wanted to know how to make one. I went to YouTube and Ta-da! I found several tutorials and now I am working on perfecting the skill. What an amazing thing!
On the subject of video tutorials, I also appreciate crafty people who post tutorials on how to make different crafts. Because of these I have learned to make- a ric-rac hair bow, an embellished burp cloth, an apron, and a pillowcase dress. Here are some of their blogs:
So there is a frozen yogurt place in downtown Chattanooga (Frazier Avenue) that is to. die. for. I am not even a fan of frozen yogurt usually because it has that icy/grainy quality. Not this stuff! It is amazing and had the texture of soft-serve ice cream. Yum!
You can go into Sweet CeCe's, get a cup and fill it with all the frozen yogurt you want. The NON-FAT frozen yogurt (that's right) comes in super fun flavors- and they are just perfectly mixed! Some of the ones I have had that I LOVED are: Red Velvet Cake, Georgia Peach, Mint, Strawberry Banana, Chocolate, Vanilla, Butter Brickle (Butterscotch), Strawberry & Cupcake Batter
Flavors that Gerry liked (we have very different tastes in sweets): Ginger, Green Tea, Carrot Cake, Peanut Butter, Cappuccino, & Mango Sorbet.
It is $.45 per ounce (and you can get a LOT of yogurt and treats for not a lot of money). After you get your yogurt you can top it with any of the treats they have like granola, reeses, oreos, fruity pebbles, lucky charms, gummy bears, brite crawlers, fresh fruit, whipped cream, cookie dough, honey, hot fudge, caramel, angel food cake.. and the list goes on and on!
I am just absolutely in love with this place and hope all of you will try it! They carry about 8 flavors at a time so they switch them out about every week. I follow them on Facebook and they are good about letting you know what new flavors are there. They also have a loyalty card that you can get punched whenever you buy yogurt there. On Tuesdays you get two punches per cup you buy!
You can find out more about Sweet CeCe's here: Sweet CeCe's
So those are the things I am in love with right now. Thanks for following along if you made it through my rambling. :)

Yaay that's the same exersaucer we have! I'm glad you like it because Brock isn't old enough to use his yet so I wasn't sure how it would be. Looks like Catie Grace is a fan though so that's exciting! :)
