12 Week Appointment

I went alone for my 12 week appointment because it was just supposed to be the routine stuff. They mostly make sure you and baby are doing OK. They also check the baby's heartbeat with a Doppler device.

When my doctor tried to hear Baby Cornett's heartbeat, she had trouble locating it. She said this was normal because the baby is so little, so we got a quick ultrasound to make sure Baby was doing OK. We got to see the baby's little heartbeat, and I was assured that everything was great! Here is the quick picture that she took at that appointment.
