Also, right around the time we were trying to figure out when/if to tell everyone, my cousin from New Orleans called and said she was pregnant too! She is due about a week after me. With the family buzzing about her big news, I knew the topic of babies would come up at Easter, so we had to tell everyone quickly!
We sent out a photo card to our family with a picture of us (below). The tree that we are standing in front of in the picture is the tree where I got my bridal portraits done before our wedding, and the church where we got married is in the background. The tree we are in front of only blooms for a few weeks and we were lucky enough to have beautiful blossoms at our wedding and for this picture!

Our families were very excited. We got a lot of excited and surprised phone calls over the next few days.
After telling our families, we somehow made it to the 8 week appointment to get confirmation of the pregnancy and to get a picture of our little one. This is the card we sent out to our friends:
